Current or former nurses, nursing students, and nursing assistants 18 and older, legal residents of the United States or Canada (excluding Quebec).
Officers, directors, employees of the operator, and their immediate family members are ineligible to compete.
Entry is free. Visit the MVP Nurse website, complete the registration form, and submit your photo and story. Each person may submit only one entry. Entries are reviewed for eligibility before being accepted as competitors.
Free Daily Vote: All voters earn one free vote every 24 hours, verified through Facebook to prevent bot activity and ensure fair voting.
Donation Vote: Voters may donate to cast additional votes. Every $1 = 1 additional vote. Donations are tax-deductible. Competitors may not vote by donation for themselves.
The winner receives a guaranteed $25,000 cash honorarium. In addition, the winner may also receive the following bonus prize(s), subject to the threshold requirements described below:
Bonus Prize Status:
The 1-week luxury Bahamas vacation for two is guaranteed and included with the $25,000 cash honorarium, regardless of total donations raised. Operator reserves the right to substitute the bonus prize with a cash equivalent of equal value if the bonus prize item is unavailable. All prize determinations are at the sole discretion of the Operator.
This competition is operated as part of a fundraising campaign for a registered 501(c)(3) public charity. Donations raised from votes by donation are tax-deductible. AIT retains exclusive custody and control over all funds raised during the competition. AIT distributes donations to the designated grantee within 30 days after the competition concludes, minus disclosed competition fees and variable costs.

All donations are final and non-refundable once processed. Since the competition is decided based on votes the public casts, no refunds are issued once a vote has been processed.
